Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new

Mistakes are positive, not negative. They are part of the learning process. The Spiritual path is up the mountain five steps and down four, up three and down two, up two and down one. You do not want to practice any kind of negative ego perfectionism that expects us to be perfect at all times and never make a mistake for this is impossible and unrealistic. The more overall integrated Spiritual mastery you gain, the fewer mistakes you will make and the quicker will be your Spiritual progress. As Albert Einstein has said, “Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new.” Or as Paramahansa Yogananda put it, ” A saint is a sinner who never gave up.”

Shouldn’t it rather be “it is impossible to EVER make a mistake?” Everything is a learning experience, whether one judges it as positive OR negative. Everything is progress. Everything is motion. Everything is good.
